CamCrossing is a directory you can use without an account. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, why, and how to exercise your rights.
What CamCrossing does not ask for
The site has no accounts, no login, no comments, no newsletter and no forms. You never give CamCrossing your name, email address or payment details while using the site. If you email us, we receive what you choose to send.
Analytics
Google Analytics is loaded on every page, with IP anonymization enabled. It tells us how the site is used so we can improve it. It collects:
- the pages you view and how you move between them;
- your approximate location (country or region, derived from an anonymized IP address);
- your device type, browser and screen size;
- how you arrived on the site (for example, from a search engine).
This data is processed by Google on our behalf and is seen by CamCrossing only as aggregated reports. We use it to understand which pages are useful, never to identify individual visitors.
Server logs
Like any website, our servers record technical requests (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) in their logs. These logs serve security and troubleshooting and are kept for a short period before deletion. The servers are located in the European Union.
Cookies
CamCrossing sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies set by the site are those of Google Analytics, used to count visits and distinguish returning visitors. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the site works the same without them.
Embedded players, live pictures and links to the platforms
A Stripchat or Chaturbate profile page may display that platform's live player. Third-party embedded players come only from these two platforms. Such a player is third-party content: it is served by the platform, may set its own cookies and collect data under that platform's privacy policy.
While a performer is live, their profile page shows a live picture loaded from the platform's servers: your browser requests it directly from the platform concerned, which handles that request under its own privacy policy. CamCrossing does not store these images. The same applies once you follow a link to any platform. Please read their policies for details.
Data about performers
CamCrossing records the public room listings of Stripchat, Chaturbate, BongaCams, Cam4 and MyFreeCams: usernames, live status, audience seen in public rooms, followers, declared languages and country, for each field a platform's listing publishes. These observations are kept as aggregates for a little over a year at most. Pictures are shown only while a performer is live and are never stored.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation and similar laws, you can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, or object to its processing. As CamCrossing has no accounts, analytics data cannot usually be linked to a person, but we will answer every request. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
